6 Office Revamp Ideas for You

Your office space is your holy workspace, so you should make it as comfortable as possible. That’s why here are six tips that will help you revamp your office so that it feels welcoming for employees.

    1. Revamp Your Office Furniture

When revamping your office, the first thing to do is to change your furniture. While it might seem like a difficult task that takes time, you can easily find new office furniture in Perth online and have it delivered right to your door. This will allow you to create a new look for your office space and make it look more professional. You will also be able to get rid of old furniture in favour of new ones that can help keep the employees excited to be in the office.

    2. Use the Right Flooring

    • Carpet flooring
    • Hardwood flooring
    • Linoleum flooring
    • Vinyl flooring (also called lino)

Tiles and laminate flooring are other options you might want to consider. You could also choose from cork, waxed hardwood and rubber floors. These will all add a different kind of character to your space.

    3. Install Ergonomic Office Furniture

Ergonomic furniture can be an excellent choice if you’re looking to revamp your office. It’s designed around the human body and how it works best, so when people work at workstations with these features, they will generally be more productive and less likely to experience back pain or other health issues.

Studies show that up to 70 per cent of employees suffer from neck and shoulder discomfort due to poor ergonomics in their workspace. This is because most office furniture in Perth, like a table, is designed for sitting upright in either a chair or desk chair. However, our bodies aren’t built relatively so straight. Our spines are flexible enough to bend over a keyboard or reach high shelves without causing any damage. But if we do this too often or long without taking breaks, our muscles become strained from the constant effort.

    4. Use Soft Lighting

Soft lighting is a great way to make your office more relaxing and comfortable. It also improves efficiency because the more comfortable you are, the less likely you feel exhausted or stressed. Soft lighting can help reduce eye strain, too.

Use dimmer switches (or even just lower wattage bulbs) so that when you need to read something at your desk, you can raise the lights enough to see clearly without being blinded by harsh overhead lamps. You may also want some task lighting in specific areas where there’s a lot of detail work. For example, suppose someone needs to look at a map on their computer screen while working with data on another screen nearby. In that case, they might want one or two lamps illuminating their maps but not making it difficult for them to look at the other information around them.

Natural light is always best. If possible, you’ll get plenty of natural light in areas like windows and skylights. Otherwise, artificial sources such as floor and table lamps will provide enough illumination without overpowering your space.

    5. Make Use of Plants

Plants can help reduce stress by keeping the air clean. Plants can also help reduce noise pollution. Plants can make your office look more inviting and make you want to spend time there, which will likely lead to increased productivity.

    6. Choose a Perfect Colour Scheme

The colours in your office should be calming and relaxing, not too bright or dark, not too cold or warm, and not vibrant enough to catch the eye immediately.

These are just a few changes you can make to revamp your office. So much more can be done to make it a comfortable and productive space, so don’t stop at these ideas alone. Be creative and think outside the box. You never know what might work best for you and your employees.
